Assault Prevention

According to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center: sexual violence, stalking, and intimate partner violence are serious public health problems that affecting millions of people in the United States each year.

Statistics are similar for the LGBTQ community. The National Coalition of Anti-Violence Projects estimates that nearly one in ten LGBTQ survivors of intimate partner violence has experienced sexual assault from those partners. Studies suggest that around half of transgender people and bisexual women will experience sexual violence at some point in their lifetimes.

We believe that everyone should be able to walk in peace. We have created our curriculum based on experiences our clients have shared, reports from organizations like NSVRC, and years of examining our own experiences. Members of our team are survivors of assault and have worked with survivors both nationally and internationally. We take your safety - and the security of all communities - very seriously.

In this course, students will learn how to deal with specific situations and employ tactics on a timeline of defense - from the first touch to the worst-case scenario
